Moon No2

I needed a project that would bring me a sense of calm during a stressful period—and looking at the moon has always had a soothing effect on me. Working with watercolors in this way proved to be a deeply relaxing process. By using plenty of water and just small amounts of pigment, I let the paper and the water dictate the patterns. I do what I can to achieve the desired outcome and while technically challenging, the materials do their thing. I hope this piece brings a sense of calm to whoever ends up hanging it on their wall.
